About Us

A Table Story was born in October 2020, created by two sisters with a special love for gatherings around the table with family and friends.

We are a big family — three siblings, almost all with children now, and more and more partners joining us at the table. The challenge of always creating something different, whether for a simple Sunday lunch or for a special date such as Mother’s Day or a birthday, is what gave rise to our Table Story.

Every piece we create is designed and produced as if it were for our own homes and events. We choose our fabrics with care — mostly linen and cotton, but also silks, velvets and wools in specific collections, with some fabrics from India and Turkey for special products. Whenever possible, we produce in Portugal.

Every season brings new ideas, many in limited editions, and we have had the pleasure of collaborating with people who inspire us. When we launch a new product, we don’t just think about the piece — we imagine the whole table setting, from the first to the last detail, to inspire those who buy it. And there is something we love: receiving photos of our clients’ tables set with our pieces. It is the best feedback we could ask for.

Our inspiration comes from the beautiful places we visit and the meals shared with special people — the tones, the textures, the shapes, everything reminds us of a moment we have lived.

Personalisation is at the heart of what we do. We know a personalised touch always delights guests, which is why we offer bespoke solutions to make every table unique. We have been part of christenings, birthdays and weddings — and it is a privilege to be there on those special days.

You can also visit us in person at our showroom in Braga.

Today we look beyond Portugal. We already reach clients in Spain, Switzerland and Germany through our online shop and social media, and we continue to actively explore new international markets, including niche shops abroad. Taking A Table Story international while keeping the same personal, crafted essence is one of our main goals today.

Because everything that is good, and worth remembering, happens here, at the table.
